In this immersive 2-day course, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of ecommerce from start to finish. They will begin with an introduction to ecommerce, exploring its history, definition, and key concepts. Participants will then dive into various ecommerce business models, learning about B2C, B2B, C2C, and D2C models. Practical guidance will be provided on setting up an ecommerce store, including domain registration, hosting, platform selection, and store design. Product and inventory management strategies will be covered, along with insights into different ecommerce platforms. Participants will explore effective marketing channels, website optimization techniques, and customer service best practices. The course also delves into crucial aspects such as payment gateways, security, analytics, and legal considerations. Emerging trends and technologies, including AI tools for ecommerce, will be highlighted. By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the ever-evolving world of ecommerce.

The entry requirements are:

  • 21 years and above

  •  Possess minimally a ‘O’ Level and/or listen, speak, read, and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5.

  •  Use numeracy skills equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 5.

  •  Minimum 1 year of working experience.

Establish comprehensive campaign objectives performance targets that are aligned to ecommerce, sales, and marketing strategies and objectives


Select metrics and targets for evaluating the effectiveness and success of e-commerce operational plans


Implement e-commerce campaign action plans and aligned activities to the e-commerce strategies


Assess e-commerce operational plans using appropriate campaign evaluation tools and methods


● Propose enhancements to e-commerce operational plans based on the evaluation of performance outcomes

Additional Notes:

  • Lessons will be conducted in English. Participants are expected to be able to read and write in basic English.

  • Participants are required to bring their own laptop that can connect to the internet for access to the online class and course materials.

  • In line with our environmentally friendly practices, we will not be providing printed course materials to reduce paper waste.

  • Upon successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a certificate issued by ClickAcademy Asia Pte Ltd.

About The Instructor


Alva is the founder of digital marketing agency Stridec, and has over 20 years of industry experience across multiple disciplines, including branding, ecommerce capability development, SEO/SEM, and social media advertising.

With his unique perspectives on the regional ecommerce scene and online space in general, and how prevailing trends impact brands and businesses, Alva is regularly interviewed and featured by trade publications such as Marketing Interactive, as well as prominent media outlets such as The Straits Times, AsiaOne, The New Paper, 93.8 Live!, Digital Marketing Asia and Digital News Asia among others.

Alva has also been previously invited as a keynote speaker at the SkillsFuture Lifelong Learning Festival organised by the Lifelong Learning Institute of Singapore.

Across the breadth of his career, Alva has worked with prolific brands and major organisations including Decathlon Singapore, Secom Singapore, Philips Lighting, Bosch, City Developments Limited, and Changi Airport Group, as well as regional and international business groups such as Prince Holding Group and Denyo.

Alva and his team at Stridec have over the years helped his clients achieve strong results for their ecommerce marketing and SEO campaigns, generating 6- to 7-figure sales online, and multiple folds of return on investment (ROI).

Under Alva’s leadership, Stridec became the first and only independent agency to have its ecommerce enablement programme for SMEs awarded by Enterprise Singapore (previously Spring Singapore) a special grant under the CIP initiative.

Alva was a certified PMC consultant and had helped numerous Singapore SMEs reinvigorate their brands and develop new ecommerce capabilities, facilitating consultations, coaching and training. He is also an ACLP-certified trainer and currently works with notable Accredited Training Organisations (ATOs) in Singapore to conduct courses and share his expertise in ecommerce strategy, search engine optimisation and various digital marketing disciplines, to empower the next generation of digital leaders.
